   The board of education traditionally meets the second Thursday of each month at 6:30 p.m. (unless noted otherwise) in the third-floor commons area of GLHS’ Clark Hall, 380 Granville St.

Open Meetings & Executive Sessions
All meetings of the board are open to the public, excluding executive sessions, which are for discussion purposes only. During an executive session, per Ohio law, boards may only discuss:

  1. Personnel matters;
  2. The sale or purchase of property; and,
  3. Legal matters.
Additionally, Ohio law requires any vote by the school board  must be done in a public forum.

Addressing the Board of Education
The board encourages and welcomes communication with the community. Anyone who would like to speak on an item should complete a Speaker Request Form available at the sign-in station, prior to the meeting. Up to three minutes are allocated to express a concern and/or to provide additional materials to the board for later review or reply. (GJPS Policy No. 0169.1)
