Free & Reduced Meal Application

Students who were in the GJPS district at the end of May 2018 and qualified for free or reduced-price meals will keep their meal status for the first few weeks of school on a temporary basis.

Families must submit a new meal application at the beginning of each school year unless they have received a letter from the GJPS Food Service department stating that the family has been Directly Certified based on receiving benefits through Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) or Ohio Works First (OWF.)

If your student has been approved for free or reduced-price meals, they are entitled to a plate lunch daily. This program was established under the National School Lunch Act of 1946 and the Child Nutrition Act of 1966.
