Kindergarten Enrollment

Kindergarten Registration is now open for Gahanna children, who will be 5-years old on or before August 1, for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.

Registration for Preschool Role Models will begin March 1, and for students new to the district in grades 1 - 12 for the 2018 - 2019 school year on April 2, 2018.

New Student Enrollment

Are you new to the Gahanna-Jefferson Public School district this school year?

Welcome! Enrolling is fast, easy, and eco-friendly with our online K-12 enrollment process for students new to GJPS. The three-step process provides families an opportunity to review and submit much of the required information in advance, without having to complete multiple forms by hand - regardless of family size!

Get additional information, access to district forms and back-to-school resources for the 2018-2019 school year.

With a personal e-mail, families can create a secure Gahanna-Jefferson online enrollment access key to enter their student information. The system will then prompt them to schedule an appointment with a representative of the GJPS Welcome Center at Clark Hall.

Please keep in mind to attend Gahanna-Jefferson schools you must have a permanent residence within the school district, in accordance with ORC 3313.64.

Clark Hall

Step 1

Review, determine, and compile the applicable items required for enrollment. Required items include, but are not limited to: a photo ID of the parent/guardian, birth certificate, custody documentation (if applicable,) residency verification, and immunizations record.

Step 2

Click the Online Entry - START button (left) to create a secure Gahanna-Jefferson online enrollment access key for your family. Follow the prompts, entering the requested information. (Your application must be completed within 30 days to avoid deletion due to inactivity.)

Step 3

Upon completion of your online registration, you will receive an email, with a link to an online scheduler.  Use this link to make an appointment with the Welcome Center at Clark Hall, to review and submit the applicable items required for enrollment outlined in Step 1.

Kindergarten Registration

Gahanna-Jefferson Schools are preparing to welcome and register Gahanna children, who will be 5-years-old on or before Aug. 1, for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.

There will be a meeting for the parent of any child who will be enrolling for Kindergarten for next school year; it will be held in the Middle School West auditorium on February 26 from 6:30 - 7:30 pm.

You will be able to enroll your child for Kindergarten beginning February 27.

Preschool Registration

The Gahanna-Jefferson Public School district offers an outstanding preschool program that serves children with disabilities and also provides an educational opportunity for typical developing children to serve as social and academic peer models. Enrollment of peer models is open to children of district residents and staff members of GJPS through an application process. Peers must be 4 years old by Dec. 1.   For additional information and to register for Preschool click here.

Child Find Campaign

The GJPS Child Find campaign seeks to identify, locate and evaluate all children with disabilities – from age 3 through 21 – residing within the district’s attendance boundaries. The campaign also seeks out those who may be homeless, wards of the state, or attending nonpublic schools.

If you know of a child with a disability, or have a child suspected of having a disability, who is not currently receiving appropriate educational or related services, please contact the GJPS Office of Special Education at 614-337-3777.

If you know of a child who lacks a fixed, regular and adequate nighttime residence, (fitting the Ohio Department of Education's definition of homelessness,) please contact the GJPS Office of Pupil Services at 614-479-1310.
