In celebration of the Martin Luther King Jr. 'Day of Service' on Mon., Jan. 20, the Gahanna
Lincoln High School Chorale, Select Ensemble and Chamber Orchestra will present a community-wide benefit concert at Peace Lutheran Church. More than fifty students will perform Giovanni Pergolesi's 'Magnificat' at 7 and 8 p.m., in the four hundred seat sanctuary.
"We encourage the community to reserve their tickets in advance by calling 614-269-4693," said GLHS Choir Director, Jeremy Lahman.
"Proceeds from the performances will be given to Gahanna Residents In Need (GRIN). All tickets, and additional free-will offerings, are considered charitable donations and are tax-deductible," said Kevin Dengel, GLHS Orchestra Director. "Donors may request a receipt for tax purposes at the performance."
Ticket proceeds have exceeded $6,000 over the past two years.
Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 dollars for students. GJPS students can donate five canned-food items in lieu of money. Tickets will be available at the door.
