2011 Honor Flight documentary Produced By WGLH-TV students

The Lincoln High School WGLH-TV program along with the Gahanna Rotary led an initiaitve to sponsor the 2011 Honor Flight. Two WGLH-TV broadcasting students, Sarah Kahler and Tanner Williams, served on this Honor Flight as companions to the veterans and created a short documentary of the April 16, 2011 flight. GJEF Fund a Need Purchased ProScopes for Gahanna-Jefferson Middle Schools

Gahanna Jefferson Education Foundation (GJEF) 2010 Fund A Need proceeds purchased $21,000 worth of new digital microscopes (ProScopes) for science classes at all three middle schools. See this video produced by the Middle School East media team.

Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools Chinese Language Program Forges Partnership with Chinese Sister School in Kunming

The United States Department of Education awards Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools (GJPS) a Foreign Language Assistance Program grant of $1 million-plus over five years. Spread the Word to End the Word Video

Gahanna-Jefferson students at Lincoln High School produced a video and collected signatures as part of an organized pledge-signing campaign conducted at the high school, middle schools East, South and West, and High Point Elementary to support the Special Olympics' Spread the Word to End the Word campaign. See the video (below) produced by Lincoln High School students that speaks to how dropping the use of the hurtful "R-word" can make a difference.

Lincoln High School's WGLH-TV

The students in the Advanced TV class produce a weekly thirty minute news show that airs on cable TV. The students write, film and edit all their won work. This is a small segment of one of their programs submitted for the NSPA Broadcast Pacemaker for 2009. News segments from the high school's WGLH-TV show will be coming soon--stay tuned!
