The Gahanna Goshen Lane ES drama club students recently traveled to Gahanna Senior Center to break bread, laugh and perform segments of a production they learned over the summer at a camp. Led by instructors Donna Doone, Karen Pettit and Rachel Harwood,
more than 20 second-grade through fifth grade students recreated Lilly's Purple Plastic Purse
by Kevin Henkes. The story features Lilly the mouse, who loves everything about school, especially her cool teacher, Mr. Slinger. But when Lilly brings her purple plastic purse and its treasures to school and can't wait until sharing time, Mr. Slinger confiscates her prized possessions. Lilly's fury leads to revenge and then to remorse and she sets out to make amends.
