There are many ways Gahanna families can find out about Gahanna-Jefferson school closures or delays!
GJPS notifies all major media outlets (local news channels 4, 6 and 10,) and contacts parents or guardians via e-mail when a decision has been made. If you are not receiving the e-mail, please check your spam folders and contact your building secretary to ensure that your contact information (phone number and e-mail address) is up-to-date and correct.

Check our social media accounts at any time for updates! Twitter accounts are often the earliest form of notification as tweets are made right after a closure is decided.
What happens if there is a two-hour delay?
When Gahanna-Jefferson decides to operate on a two-hour delay due to weather or road conditions, the district operates as normal except school start times and morning bus arrivals are delayed two hours. Breakfast is not served at school buildings on days when a two-hour delay is called, and there is no A.M. preschool session.
If your school building is operating on a modified schedule (i.e. class periods might be shortened,) the information would be available from the building principal or secretary.
