Did you know that March 6 – 10 is National School Breakfast Week? It’s important for students to eat a healthy breakfast, as those who do have better attention and memory in class.

Breakfast is available daily at eight Gahanna-Jefferson schools, including:

  • Chapelfield
  • Goshen Lane
  • Jefferson
  • Lincoln
  • Royal Manor
  • Middle School South
  • Middle School West
  • Gahanna Lincoln High School

School breakfast includes fruit and veggies, whole grains and fat-free or low-fat milk. Pricing is $1.45 for each breakfast meal; the reduced price for eligible students is .30 cents.

This year’s school breakfast celebration will include raffles and prizes for those who dine in the cafeteria each morning! Bus drivers, fire fighters and teachers have also been invited to visit and have breakfast with our students.

“At our elementary cafeterias, there will be fun trinkets given to each student who eats breakfast each day,” said Linda Green food service supervisor. “At the middle and high schools, students who eat breakfast will have their names put in a raffle to win gift cards from local restaurants each day.”
