Summer lunch program provides free meals for the community

Do you know a student in need of a meal when the USDA-sponsored federal free and reduced-price school lunch program is unavailable?

The Gahanna Free Summer Lunch Program can help! Through Aug. 4, nutritious meals will be served to anyone, regardless of age, by simply visiting any of the designated sites listed below. There is no paperwork to complete or registration requirement. Last year, more than a dozen churches volunteered hundreds of hours, enabling the delivery of several thousand meals for Gahanna-area residents.

Free, hot sit-down lunches served at the following locations, through Aug. 4,Monday – Friday, 12 – 1 p.m.:

  • Chapelfield Elementary School, 280 Chapelfield Road
  • Goshen Lane Elementary School, 370 Goshen Lane
