No Rest for the Weary

Writing about reading - from quick jots to literary essays - can empower students to grow their ideas, develop empathy, and change their world.

Teachers, coaches and administrators from across Central Ohio returned to the classroom this week as Gahanna-Jefferson Public Schools hosted its 2019 Summer Mini-Institute on Writing about Reading.

Teachers spent three days broken into grade level cohorts, learning new ideas about helping readers think, talk, and write about their reading with joy and excitement.
