GLHS Students Earn State-Level Honors

Congratulations to the following students for earning state-level honors:

  • Noah Appleman was one of three students selected in the OMEA Young Composers Initiative. His piece will be performed by the Ohio Brass Quintet at the OMEA state conference in Cincinnati this winter.
  • Shaelyn O'Brien (flute) and Lennon Anderson (clarinet) were selected for the all-state band
  • Anna Lower (oboe) was selected for the all-state orchestra
  • Michael Stewart was selected for the all-state choir

Selection into the all-state ensembles is highly competitive, and the students who are fortunate enough to be accepted show a year-round dedication to their art.

Congratulations to our award winning GLHS students and all the teachers along the way who have helped to shape their musical careers!

4 Students earn state music recognition.
