School Hours

The school day begins at 8:45 a.m. when students are expected to be in their classrooms. They may enter the building as early as 8:30 a.m. The school day ends at 3:30 p.m.

Daily Schedule

Gahanna Middle School East's daily schedule is divided into 9 periods including lunch with the sixth, seventh, and eighth grade schedules varying slightly from each other. Students will also take 'Gold' period for intervention/enrichment and service purposes.

Lunch Programs

Lunch times are assigned by grades and run from approximately 11:15 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The cost of a plate lunch is $3.00 and a la carte items are available at an additional price. Gahanna-Jefferson Schools are part of the Federal Lunch Program.
