Student All Sports Pass - $58 - This STUDENT pass entitles the holder to one (1) entrance to all Gahanna MIDDLE SCHOOL home ticketed sporting events. Scores and Highlights

10/5 - 7th Grade Football traveled to Westerville Blendon where they came ready to play. With another shutout and dominant offensive performance, the Lions won 64-0. They move to 6-1 on the season! Their last game of the season is next Wednesday at home, taking on Pickerington Lakeview. Come out and cheer on your Lions!

9/22 - 8th Grade Football hosted Newark Liberty. Down 6-0 at halftime, the Lions made a comeback in the 2nd half to take the W with a final score of 16-6. Way to make the comeback Lions!

10/1 - Boys & Girls Cross Country competed against 21 teams in the Pickerington Lakeview Invitational Saturday morning. All the runners ran a great race but the top runners from West for the boys were Talen Barnes-Bell and Austin Thompson. Top runners from the girls were Abby Waid and Georgia Robson. Great job Lions. Both the boys and girls teams will have their final meet of the year, this Tuesday the 4th, at the Gahanna Pool for the Battle of Gahanna!

10/5 - 7th Grade Girls Volleyball traveled to Newark Liberty where they put on up good fight, taking one match, but ended up falling to Liberty in the end. The 7th grade team starts their tournament action tonight against New Albany out at Marysville High School. Good luck Lady Lions!

10/5 - 8th Grade Girls Volleyball also traveled to Newark Liberty Monday night and also put on up good fight, taking one match, but also ended up falling to Liberty in the end. The 8th grade team starts their tournament action Monday against Pickerington Ridgview Gahanna South. Good luck Lady Lions!

10/3 - Girls Tennis won 3-2 over Olentangy Monday night. All matches were very well played, with many ending in tiebreakers. Winners from Monday night from East include, Emelia Bradford, Cami Smith, Maya Laverty, Sydney Hobbs, Taylor Chun, and Elle Huskey. From South, winners were Ava Evans, Caroline McAuley, Presley Porcher, Emme Huth, and Rosie Mathews. And to round out the wins, congrats to Ashleigh Witham from West. The Lady Lions improve to 8-5 on the season and will finish with New Albany Tuesday night.


UPCOMING 2022/2023 INFORMATION

Registration for Winter Sports at West is now open. Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball and Coed Wrestling are available to all 7th & 8th graders. If you are interested in participating in a Winter Sport, you must register on Final Forms http://gahanna-oh.finalforms.com/ and have a valid OHSAA Physical     http://www.ohsaa.org/medicine/physicalexamform on file. Winter Sports will begin in October.

The Middle School Athletic Department will be at West for lunch room Winter Sports signups on October 6th & October 13th. 

Tryouts for Boys Basketball will be held on Friday, October 28th from 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday, October 29th from 8:00am-10:00am. More information will be available soon.

Tryouts for Girls Basketball will be held on Monday, October 24th and Tuesday, October 25th from 3:45-6:00pm. More information will be available soon.

Pay to Participate Middle School West Boys Cross country Team

Pay to participate contributions are used for the upkeep of athletic facilities, equipment, uniform purchases, and coaches salaries.

Exceptions and PTP Fee Caps:

  • Any student-athlete that qualifies for the Free & Reduced Lunch program will not be assessed a PTP Fee.
  • A $250 Family Cap will be in place for any family where multiple children participate in athletics at the Middle School.

Refunds for PTP Fees will only be granted retroactively to a student-athlete that suffers a season-ending injury. Student-athletes that either quit the team, or are removed from the team for eligibility or disciplinary purposes will not be refunded.
